Karl Melo is a data analytics and innovation consultant based in Orlando, Florida. Born in Cameroon, he brings a cross-continental perspective shaped by experience in Africa, Europe, and the United States.
Over the past decade, he has worked as an innovation consultant, helping major global companies creatively solve their most difficult challenges. As a data analytics professional, he supported large, complex organizations in using data and advanced analytics to achieve strategic goals and gain competitive advantage.
Earlier in his career, Karl taught business law at the undergraduate level in the UK and worked in trade finance for a family-owned business with operations in Central Africa and Dubai.
Through Fassara Ventures, he draws on his cultural fluency, business background, and deep U.S. networks in real estate and consumer industries to help others bridge the gap — whether investing in U.S. real estate or bringing African cultural products to new audiences.
Karl holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
